ISLAND

John the Beloved, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was exiled to the island of Patmos. After many brutal attempts to murder him, the Roman government sent him to live in a cave on the island, left alone with his thoughts. Here, he continued to write multiple books of the Bible, sharing the story of Jesus with all of us. (Revelation 1:9)
